Become a Friend
Join the Friends of the Museum and help us safeguard the future of our world class Collection.
The Friends help to fund our displays, temporary exhibitions, learning service and the purchase of new items for the Collection. Their contributions are also helping us build our Endowment Fund and a sustainable future.
Membership includes:
- Free entry to the Museum
- 10% discounted entry for friends accompanying visit (single use only)

Volunteer
We offer a range of roles working behind the scenes with our collection or interacting with visitors in the Museum galleries.

We are looking for volunteers to work with the collections, with enquiries and with the public. Please see below for volunteer role information.

Inventory Volunteer
To assist curatorial staff with the RE Museum’s Archive collection, by carrying our essential inventory work and cataloguing of the paper based collection. This includes thousands of documents ranging from 18th Century maps of Gibraltar, photographs, drawings, plans, letters, reports and posters.
War Winning Engineering Project Volunteer
Assist Museum staff with the “War Winning Engineering” project, made possible by money raised by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The project will focus on cataloguing, conserving and digitising the archive of original plans of Mulberry Harbour.
