War Winning Engineering Exhibition
Discover the Engineering Marvel That Helped Win WWII!
🛠️ The Royal Engineers Museum is proud to unveil an exhibition drawing on the original plans and artefacts of the legendary Mulberry Harbours — a daring solution that changed the course of history.
📜 Thanks to a £233,976 grant from @HeritageFundUK, thousands of wartime blueprints, models, and even an original anchor are being conserved and digitised for the first time since 1944!
🌊 These floating harbours enabled the landing of 220,000 troops, 40,000 vehicles, and 680,000 tons of supplies in Normandy — a feat of engineering brilliance.
