Tuesday 12th May – The Art of a Medal
The British Armed Forces recognize service and personal achievement through the awarding of medals, which highlight important moments in a serviceperson’s career. Mini Museum Explorers will learn about the meaning and design of these medals by viewing and safely handling examples from the Museum’s collection. Inspired by what they see, Minis will create their own medal, using pens to design a colourful ribbon and clay tools to add carved details to the face of the medal.
