Entry to the Museum is free for all serving Royal Engineers and their families.
Corps visits range from a self-led look at the Museum, to guided tours and introductory talks. These can be tailored to the specialisms of your unit and can include practical sessions such as bridge building competitions.
Popular tours include:
- Survey and Geo work in the Engineers
- Bridge Building and the Engineers
- Leadership in the Royal Engineers
- Force and Field Support
- Innovations in the Engineers
For more information or to book a group visit please call 01634 822312.
The Museum knows that many regiments find it difficult to visit the Museum so we are now offering outreach sessions. In these sessions a member or members of the curatorial team would visit your unit and deliver a presentation, or hands-on session on a particular topic relating to your unit. Depending on the session and where it is based we can also bring along artefacts from the collection to use as part of the presentation.
- The History of Firearms (very popular!)
- Bomb Disposal
- Technical innovations
- Combat Engineering
- Support to the Community
- Armoured Engineers
- Air Support
- Past specialisms (eg flying/photography/postal/transport)
