Lecture: Mons 1914, The First Sapper VCs

The first in our Autumn series of lectures to mark the First World War and the Victoria Cross, Cpl Munday RM will speak on the actions of Captain Wright and Corporal Jarvis at Mons in 1914, exploring how and why they were called upon to go above and beyond.

Arrive anytime from 5.00pm as the Museum will remain open exclusively for those attending the lecture.  There’s time to explore the galleries and visit our special exhibition “VC: For Valour.  Sapper VCs of the First World War”.  

The evening is included in standard admission prices – book your annual ticket here.

The lecture itself will commence at 7.00pm.
