DESCRIPTION:Designed for under 5s and their parents, grandparents, and carers, each session delves into a different part of the Museum’s collections through a blend of play, stories, trails, crafts, and science activities. These sessions encourage development, communication, and curiosity about the Royal Engineers and the world around us.\nHeld on the second Tuesday of each month (Term Time) from 10am-11am.\n£4 per session per child (discounts with a Snob loyalty card); free for military families. Normal museum admission prices also apply.\nPlease book in advance – sessions are limited to 20 under 5’s. Book here: https://re-museum.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/35904?catID=35959&\nTuesday 10th November – Why Do We Remember\nMini Museum Explorers will listen to simple stories and poems that introduce them to the idea of bravery and service, learning about soldiers and why the poppy has become an important symbol of remembrance. Through discussion and exploration, Minis will begin to understand how we remember and say thank you to those who served. Children will then enjoy a creative session making their own poppies using soft materials such as paper and fabric. After placing their handmade poppies at the Museum’s War Memorial, Minis will also create a poppy-themed handprint craft to take home as a keepsake.\n
